A cette occasion, Dr Jason Dowling, fera une présentation, le 11/04/2014, à 16h30, dans les locaux du LTSI sur le Campus de Beaulieu (Bat. 22, Salle de réunion), intitulée “Overview of medical image analysis capabilities at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation, Australia”
The Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) is the largest research organisation in Australia with around 6500 staff based at more than 57 sites across Australia and overseas. Dr Jason Dowling is a project leader and research scientist from the CSIRO based at the Australian e-Health Research Centre at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Australia. Since 2007, he has worked closely with the Calvary Mater Newcastle Hospital on the development of methods for MRI-alone radiation treatment planning for prostate cancer. This work has included atlas and shape model based pelvic organ segmentation, generation of substitute CT from MRI, and integration with commercial treatment planning systems. In this presentation Dr Dowling aims to introduce the CSIRO, provide an overview of its biomedical imaging group capabilities and research, before describing MRI-alone radiation therapy treatment planning.
