Sujet de Thèse: Simulation of cardiovascular hemodynamic interaction in long-term mechanical circulatory support

The main goal is to optimise surgical strategy (choice of device, choice of ventricular site and implantation modalities) by means of preoperative computer-aided planning of the implantation of mechanical circulatory devices. The few studies reported until now, including those of the team, rely mainly on morphological analysis, in particular for the assessment of the free space in chest cavity. To date, the literature presents only a few studies related to simulation in the context of ventricular assist devices in order to analyse the causes of postoperative complications.

Postdoctoral / Engineering position : Model based Computer Assisted Surgical Planning in Deep Brain Stimulation

This proposal is related to the research activities of the team MediCIS in the context of a national project in “Model based Computer Assisted Surgical Planning in Deep Brain Stimulation” (http://www.anracoustic.org). The main objective of this project is to develop an innovative strategy based on models for helping decision-making process during surgical planning in Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS). Two types of models will be made available to the surgeon: patient specific models and generic models.

Sujet de Thèse : MRI analysis and modeling for tumor characterization and therapy optimization

Title : MRI analysis and modeling for tumor characterization and therapy optimization Keywords: Medical Image Processing / Physiological modeling / Image modeling / Magnetic Resonance Imaging The PhD will be done in the METRIQ team in LTSI (http://www.ltsi.univ-rennes1.fr/), in collaboration with the Comprehensive Cancer Center, Institute Eugène Marquis, Department of Nuclear Medicine, Rennes, France and in cooperation with the Faculty of Computer Science, Bialystok University of Technology, Bialystok (Poland).

Research engineer in biomedical signal processing for the analysis of cardio-respiratory signals

Team: SEPIA team Location: LTSI. Univ. de Rennes 1. Rennes, France (http://www.ltsi.univ-rennes1.fr/) Start date: Immediate Duration: 1 year. Can be renewed for 1 additional year. The SEPIA team of the Laboratory of Signal and Image Processing (LTSI, Rennes, France) is involved in the field of cardiovascular signal processing and modeling, with applications on implantable devices (http://www.ltsi.univ-rennes1.fr/).

Post-doctoral position : Image-Guided Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation

The position will take place in the IMPACT team (Images and models for surgical planning and assistance). One of the research themes of the IMPACT team is image guided procedures for cardiovascular diseases with a large experience in endovascular prostheses placement. A more recent topic concerns Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) that has emerged as a promising alternative to conventional aortic valve replacement for patients with severe aortic stenosis who are otherwise left untreated due to the perceived high risk of operative mortality.
